Gaby with bigcityevents joins TWI

Please join me in welcoming Gabby of bigcityevents to {TWI}. Originally from New York, Gabby has a multitude of experience in the entertainment industry. She first got into the business working as a bridal attendant at a catering company on Long Island, NY for 3 years. She then moved on to become a wedding coordinator at a full service event planning company for 2 1/2 years, servicing the Hampton’s to NYC and everywhere in between. While she was there, the company was featured on the Style Network’s “Who’s Wedding is it Anyways?” twice, was chosen as LI Wedding’s “Vendor of the Year”, and chosen as “The Best of Weddings” on theknot.com. They were even featured in People Magazine for planning the wedding of Survivor’s fan favorite, Stephenie LaGrossa.

Gabby holds a BS degree in Advertising and Marketing Communications from the Fashion Institute of Technology. She is well versed in the world of design and even helped run 6 fashion shows for NYC Fashion Week as well as directing NIMA NY’s Spring Collection. Somewhere down the line, event planning segued into production when Gabby was given the opportunity to work at Saturday Night Live and ABC’s One Life to Live. She currently still works in TV production, but is also exciting to be returning to her events career in Charleston with Charleston’s wedding scene. Gabby, we are thrilled to have you on the {TWI} Charleston wedding team.

Charleston Bridal Show 2012

We had fun last week at The Charleston Bridal Show. We met with lots of brides and are very excited. Checkout our booth that featured beautiful flowers from Charleston Florist, Travel with The Shady Umbrella, Invitations from WE*DO Fine Stationery, Photography by Peter Finger, and Charleston’s Trolley peeps at Absolutely Charleston, and more! We want to give a special shout out to Paige who did the beautiful calligraphy signs used throughout the booth. Paige’s work can be found on her website Calligraphy by Paige Tanenbaum. All the information we had about our custom wedding packages on display was taken, as well as all the champagne with gourmet white chocolate covered peanut butter popcorn gift bags. A good time was had by all.

Our Pink and Gray Wedding ~ Etsy Treasury List

Well, I didn’t think I could be anymore addicted to anything more than Pinterest, that is until now. You see I’ve been getting these lovely messages from folks on Etsy saying “your item has been added to our Treasury.” Which all sounds so vintagely gorgeous. So I’ve been meaning to check this out and finally did and boy am I glad. I am hooked line and sinker. Needless to say, I have created three Treasury Lists – which are basically a way to create wish lists on Etsy – I know! How cool is that!

But here’s the kicker, I found a really cool App that allows me to share them with you right here on our Blog! I am so thrilled, now we can create tons of Wedding Inspiration Etsy Treasury Lists and share them with you. Not to mention, help our fellow Etsy Sellers.

Jessica has 15 years of experience in a very elite salon in NJ where she worked lots of events, from weddings to fashion shows, and photos shoots in NYC. She has styled for the Nets dancers, and been featured in many hairstyle magazines.
